Contract talks between Tottenham and a key Jose Mourinho man have completely broken down, according to reports.
Veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be out of contract in 18 months and has been linked with a return to France.
New PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino managed the France star at Spurs and is rumoured to want him again.
The 2018 World Cup winner joined Tottenham in 2012 from Lyon and has been a mainstay in the side ever since.
However, he has yet to win silverware in north London and there are suggestions that he wants a fresh challenge.
To that end, Spurs are said to have opened preliminary talks over a new deal last summer.
Those discussions led nowhere, however, and Football Insider claims Pochettino’s arrival in Paris has caused a major worry for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Lloris is tempted by the idea of finishing his career in his homeland, and PSG and Pochettino are the perfect fit.
Tottenham will hope, however, that they can persuade their skipper to pen a lucrative new deal.
Mourinho’s men are currently in the Champions League places and also have a Carabao Cup final to look forward to on April 25.
Tottenham hold attacker talks
Tottenham have held talks over a deal to sign Stuttgart attacker Nicolas Gonzalez this month as Jose Mourinho looks to increase his options in attack.
Spurs are very much alive in four competitions this season. They are well placed in the Premier League and on Sunday romped into the FA Cup fourth round. In April they will contest the Carabao Cup final and also hope to go deep into the Europa League.
Last season, Mourinho and Tottenham endured a difficult run-in. A torn hamstring sustained by Harry Kane left Spurs light in attack.
This time around, Mourinho plans to ensure his squad has better options and strength in depth.
And despite the fact that Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius both laid down their credentials, Spurs still want more attacking options.
