Borussia Dortmund ‘totally relaxed’ over Jadon Sancho future amid Manchester United interest

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has dealt a potential blow to Manchester United in their attempts to sign Jadon Sancho.

The England winger has been heavily linked with a big-money summer move to Old Trafford, with reports claiming ‘almost every detail’ of the deal is done.

Sancho has scored 31 goals and registered 42 assists since joining Dortmund for £8million from Man City in 2017.

His contract with the Bundesliga giants runs until 2022, with United and Chelsea keen to bring him back to England.

And despite the continued interest from Premier League clubs, Zorc is ‘totally relaxed’ over Sancho’s future.

He told Sport1: “We have a long-term contract with Jadon Sancho.

“Nothing will change about that now. We are totally relaxed about it.”

The Bundesliga is, like most football worldwide, currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, there are plans to resume top-flight football in Germany on May 9 as Zorc insists Dortmund’s priority is to complete the 2019/20 season.

He added: “I understand the inquiries, but these whole topics are currently not the top priority.

“The dominant questions that concern us at the moment are rather, how does it go on? When do we play again?

“It is of paramount importance for all of us to be able to end the season.

“Especially against the background that the concept of the league is viewed positively by many experts.”
