Euro Paper Talk: Solskjaer pushes hard to bring Brazilian duo to Man Utd in €50m double deal; Chelsea strike bargain deal for Real Madrid star

Manchester United are ready to meet Juventus’ asking price to sign a pair of Brazilians, while Chelsea are on the verge of an exciting capture of a Real Madrid man, according to Wednesday’s Euro Paper Talk.

Manchester United are going all out to sign Douglas Costa and Alex Sandro from Juventus in a double deal.

The duo look set to be offloaded by new Juve boss Andrea Pirlo as he looks to make wholesale changes to his squad.

Pirlo replaced Maurizio Sarri earlier this month and is looking to make his mark at the nine-times defending Serie A champions.

However, with transfer funds likely to be tight, Pirlo is ready to offload a number of fringe stars.

Two of the men made available are Brazilian pair Costa and Sandro. The pair have been mentioned as potential Man Utd targets in recent days as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his squad.

Although Costa, 28, and Sandro, 29, might not fit in with Solskjaer’s usual criteria, Calciomercato claims the United boss is keen on a double deal.

The Italian outlet claims the Old Lady are willing to sell the South American duo for a bargain double fee of €50m. Furthermore, they say Solskjaer is ready to personally ask United’s board to sanction the double raid.

He wants strength in numbers as United look to mount a title challenge and look to go deep into the Champions League.

Right-wing and left-back have proved problem positions for United. Signing such a quality and experienced pair for the relatively cheap price of £45m would give United the funds to bolster their squad elsewhere.

Central defence is another area Solskjaer is keen to strengthen. Wednesday’s Paper Talk said they were also looking to signing a West Ham man to partner Harry Maguire.
