Euro Paper Talk: Sponsors to foot bill as Man Utd see clear path for Juventus star; Chelsea beat Liverpool to Austrian ace

Manchester United are being tipped to bring in a huge new name from Juventus – and their shirt sponsor will foot the bill – while Chelsea will sign a Bayern Munich star in January, according to Monday’s Euro Paper Talk.

Manchester United are being touted as the next destination for Cristiano Ronaldo – with sponsors Chevrolet set to help foot the bill.

The Portuguese superstar left Old Trafford in 2009 and went on to break records galore at Real Madrid.

He departed the Spanish capital in summer 2019 for Juventus and won Serie A during his first season in Turin.

Now approaching 36, Ronaldo looks poised to be moved on by Juventus as they look to claw back their investment on the player.

Despite his advancing years, Ronaldo remains in peak physical condition and remains a man in demand.

According to Auto Esporte, a return to Old Trafford looks to be on the cards with United’s shirt sponsors Chevoret helping fund the deal.

According to the Portuguese website, United would see his reported €80m transfer fee part-financed by Chevrolet. They would also help pay for the player’s huge financial package.

As per the article, Chevrolet would see the commercial value in having Ronaldo return to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo has influenced sales at Juventus’ sponsor Jeep since his arrival in 2018 and the US firm are reportedly hoping for the same impact should the attacker return to the Red Devils.

PSG are reportedly emerging as United’s main rivals for Ronaldo.

However, it’s claimed should United’s money men and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer say yes, then Ronaldo would head back to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo has made it clear he wants to see out the remaining 19 months on his Juve deal. But if they made it clear to him he was free to move on, it’s claimed his preference would be on a return to Old Trafford.
