Everton have joined the race to sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer, according to reports.
However, the Toffees will only consider making a serious offer if they cannot secure deals for Brazilian duo Everton Soares and Gabriel Magalhaes.
For the past 12 months Grealish has been outstanding, helping the Villans secure promotion via the play-offs and into the Premier League.
Despite experiencing defeat in the Carabao Cup final, the season will still be considered a success for Dean Smith’s men if they were to avoid relegation.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to be seriously interested in taking the Villa captain to Old Trafford next season.
But ambitious Everton are also eyeing up a move, with Sky Sports News claiming Carlo Ancelotti has Grealish in his sights – if he fails to sign his two top targets, Soares and Magalhaes.
Soares was linked with a £25million move in January and the 24-year-old from Gremio will unfoubetledly have multiple suitors when the transfer window eventually opens.
Ancelotti reportedly even spoke to the versatile forward himself, who started learning English ahead of a possible link up with compatriot Richarlison – but the move never materialised.
£30m-rated Lille defender Magalhaes has made 24 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season and has helped them to fourth place, but is also in high demand with the likes of Chelsea keen.
