Jadon Sancho ‘will choose between Man United and Real Madrid’ as £100m transfer battle intensifies

Jadon Sancho will decide between Manchester United and Real Madrid once the summer transfer window opens, according to reports.

The Borussia Dortmund winger is one of the hottest properties in world football after a remarkable two years of senior football with Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho is valued somewhere north of £100million and is expected to leave BVB this summer – regardless of whether or not he gets the chance to add to his 17 goals and 19 assists in both the Bundesliga and Champions League.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario Madridista, the England international is not too interested in a move to Chelsea and is set to choose between a switch to Old Trafford or the Bernabeu.

The report claims United are in pole position to land the 20-year-old and bring him back to Manchester, having first watched rivals City hone his skills in their academy.

Real are still very much in the hunt for Sancho’s signature, but United could hold the upper hand as they are prepared to pay a big outright fee while the Spanish giants plan to offer players as part of any deal.

Sancho moved to Signal Iduna Park in 2016 and made his mark on the senior side towards the end of the 2017-18 season, but it was the season after that where he announced himself to the world.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke told Bild last month: “Even before the coronavirus outbreak, we said that we prefer that Jadon stays with us.

“At the end of the day, however, you always have to respect what the player wants.”
