Manchester United are on the brink of completing their first signing of the summer transfer window.
However, they will have to wait to confirm a deal to sign Joe Hugill until after lockdown measures are eased.
The 16-year-old is set to secure a dream move to Old Trafford, but cannot travel to complete a medical.
According to The Sun, United will pay £200,000 for the Sunderland striker, who rejected terms on a new deal at the Stadium of Light.
It is claimed Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers all wanted to sign Hugill after his impressive displays for the Black Cats’ under-18 side.
But it is the Red Devils who have snapped up the striker, who will sign his first professional contract with the Premier League giants.
Personal terms have been finalised and Hugill will travel to Manchester to complete his medical once it is safe to do so.
