Paper Talk: Arteta plots £20m left-back move to free Saka; Arsenal in hunt for Liverpool outcast

Arsenal want a new left-back this summer to free up Bukayo Saka, while they also want to take Adam Lallana on a free transfer from Liverpool, all in the papers.

Arsenal are once again chasing Ajax star Nicolas Tagliafico, according to The Sun.

The full-back is understood to have an agreement where by he can leave financial-stricken Ajax this summer if the fee is right and the Gunners are pondering a £20million move.

The report claims that Mikel Arteta is determined to bring a new left-back to the Etihad Stadium this summer to allow Bukayo Saka to return to an attacking next season.

Barcelona have also been linked with a move for the 27-year-old and that may well be why Arsenal also have German teenager Kaan Kurt on their radar.

The 18-year-old plays for Borussia Monchengladbach II in Germany’s fourth tier and has yet to appear for the club’s first team, but Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on him.

The Sun says Kurt “mostly plays as an attacking right-back but can also operate on the left” and would cost around £4million with his contract up in 2022.
