Tanguy Ndombele nearing Tottenham exit due to Jose Mourinho relationship as Spurs plan summer exodus

Tottenham could lose up to SIX players this summer, including club record signing Tanguy Ndombele who is expected to leave Spurs because of his fractured relationship with Jose Mourinho.

Ndombele, the France midfielder, only moved to north London last summer for a £55million fee, becoming Tottenham’s most expensive signing ever.

Big things were expected of the 23-year-old who, during his time at Lyon, emerged as one of the brightest young talents in world football.

But his debut season at White Hart Lane has been rather underwhelming, with questions raised over Ndombele’s fitness and work rate.

The harshest criticism began when incumbent head coach Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino in the dugout.

Mourinho has even been slammed for his criticism of Ndombele and accused of poor man management when it comes to the midfielder.

Even with football currently suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic, Mourinho and Ndombele have been hitting the headlines; the Portuguese was pictured breaking government-imposed lockdown rules by leading an individual training session with Ndombele on Hadley Common in north London earlier this month.

And, according to The Times, Spurs will not stand in the way should interested clubs attempt to sign Ndombele when the transfer window reopens. Both Barcelona and Juventus have been linked with the midfielder, though Paris Saint-Germain are no longer keen, the report adds.

Ndombele is not alone in being linked with a White Hart Lane exit, however.

The report claims Danny Rose, Eric Dier and Juan Foyth are also going to be put up for sale by Tottenham, while doubts remain over Erik Lamela and Davinson Sanchez’s futures in north London.

Furthermore, Jan Vertonghen is out of contract at the end of June and he’s expected to depart Spurs to continue his career elsewhere.
